President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Chief of Armed Forces General Necdet Özel, Force Commenders, military and administrative officials and invitees participated to the ceremony.

In his speech Prime Minister Erdoğan expressed that by the year 2023, they are planning to annihilate our foreign-source dependency almost completely in the field of defense industry. Remarking this ceremony as an important milestone in enhancing the defense power of Turkey, Erdoğan said: “Our aim is to annihilate our foreign-source dependency almost completely. Eagle of Peace aircrafts will be eyes of Turkish Armed Forces and do its duty as early warning system against all kinds of threats. I am proud of Turkish defense industry having part in production of it. I hope Eagle of Peace will be beneficial to our country, our nation and TAF. Congratulations to those who contributed to the project.”
